I will have a new last name! Well, I think it will be official sometime mid morning actually. Yep, our “court date” for our name change is tomorrow. Then we get to begin the fun process of changing our last names on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.!
p.s. My new initials will be ELM.O! I willingly changed my last name so that my initials spell a Ses.ame Str.eet character. Oh well.

Congrats!!! Welcome to the world of hyphenation…….it is a crazy place to be, but it is REALLY nice to have a common family last name! Good luck with changing everything. I haven’t finished doing that and it has been almost 6 months.

It has taken me a while to get used to signing my name with the hyphenation and to introducing myself with the extended name. It’s starting to feel more and more natural, though… and that feels really good!
